Samuel Abu Jinapor, Member of Parliament for Damongo and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, recently led an inspection tour of several ongoing and completed projects in Damongo Township. Accompanied by constituency executives of the NPP in Damongo, He conducted the assessment on Friday, April 12, 2024.

The inspection encompassed significant initiatives, including the Enable Youth cassava processing factory under the government’s 1D1F program and ongoing developments at the Damongo Agric Dam sites. Notable measures such as distillation and riprapping with rocks along the dam’s edges were observed, aimed at preventing erosion and ensuring the dam’s structural stability.

Following the tour, MP Abu Jinapor addressed the media, highlighting the progress and importance of the inspected projects. He mentioned that the Damongo Agric Dam project, initiated a year ago, is nearing completion, with major works expected to conclude by the end of April 2024. Expressing satisfaction at the sight of water in the Agric dam after years of being dry, Samuel Abu Jinapor commended the efforts invested in revitalizing the crucial water resource and assured that he is implementing necessary measures to ensure his constituents have access to portable water.

Regarding the Enable Youth cassava processing factory, the MP emphasized the importance of expediting necessary measures to commence operations, highlighting the factory’s role in fulfilling its intended purpose and benefiting the local community. MP Abu Jinapor expressed optimism about delivering tangible benefits to his constituents, reaffirming his commitment to ensuring they receive their due share of national development initiatives.
