Honorable Karim Musah Kusubari, the Municipal Chief Executive of West Gonja Municipal Assembly, officially inaugurated and presented a newly constructed and fully equipped Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound, along with a brand new motorcycle, to the residents of Kededelempa community in the Busunu Electoral Area of West Gonja Municipal Assembly. This initiative aims to enhance healthcare services within the West Gonja Municipality.
During a welcoming address, the community’s chief, speaking on behalf of Kededelempa’s residents, conveyed their heartfelt appreciation to the Municipal Chief Executive and the Member of Parliament for Damongo Constituency for collaborating to bring this essential healthcare facility to their community. The Kededelempa chief expressed that their community had long yearned for a healthcare facility, and the establishment of the CHPS Compound fulfills their dream.
The chief also made an appeal to the Municipal Assembly, urging them to consider constructing accommodation facilities for the nurses who will be assigned to work in the community.
In his speech, Honorable Musah Kusubari emphasized that the government, under the leadership of President Nana Addo, is dedicated to enhancing healthcare delivery throughout Ghana, and West Gonja Municipality is no exception. He noted that the Kededelempa CHPS Compound is part of the government’s broader healthcare improvement plan, initiated and executed in collaboration with West Gonja Municipality, with support from the Member of Parliament for Damongo Constituency, Honorable Lawyer Abu Jinapor.
Honorable Karim Musah Kusubari urged both the community and the Ghana Health Service to diligently maintain and care for the newly established healthcare facility.
Madam Gertrude Yentumi, the West Gonja Municipal Health Director, expressed her gratitude to the Member of Parliament for Damongo Constituency and the West Gonja Municipal Assembly for providing this valuable healthcare facility. She assured that they would ensure the facility is put to effective use to ensure that the people of Kededelempa have easy access to high-quality healthcare services.
