In a heartwarming show of support, Hon. Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor, Member of Parliament for Damongo Constituency, has extended a generous gesture to ease the financial burden on Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the West Gonja Municipality.
On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Hon. Jinapor visited 957 candidates from 30 schools who were sitting for their exams at Damongo Senior High School. During the visit, he pledged to cover the transportation costs of all candidates after their final paper.
Each candidate—resident and non-resident alike—will receive GHC 30 to assist with transportation, a move aimed at reducing the financial strain on students and their families.

Encouraging the candidates, Hon. Jinapor urged them to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to excellence. He reminded them that with hard work and determination, they could surpass even his own achievements. He also advised them to respect and support their parents.
The announcement was met with cheers and heartfelt gratitude from the students. In response, Hon. Jinapor reaffirmed his dedication to serving all constituents equally, regardless of tribe, religion, or political affiliation.
As the exams concluded, the MP extended his best wishes to the candidates and assured them that the transportation support would be disbursed through their head teachers. His thoughtful intervention reflects his unwavering commitment to education and the welfare of young people in his constituency.
