The Assembly Man for Yipala-Nabori Electoral Area Hon. Iddrisu Abdul-Rahman has taken steps to change the narrative on the fallen standards of education in his electoral area by fully sponsoring extra classes for all final year students of Yipala and Nabori JHS.
Hon Iddrisu Abdul-Rahman said the fallen standards of education in Savannah Region and for that matter West Gonja is a big worry to him which is why in his own little way as an assembly member, he decided to sponsor extra classes for students of his electoral area.
Hon. Rahman said he believe that the extra classes will go a long way to improve the BECE results of the candidates in his electoral area.
The Yipala-Nabori Assembly Man urged the students to take the extra classes serious and that he is expecting a 100% pass from the the candidates in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination.
Hon. Rahman said he wants the schools in his electoral area to be ranked best schools in this year’s BECE in the West Gonja Municipality.
Hon. Rahman also called on his colleague Assembly Members to emulate the step he has taken. He believes that when extra classes are organised across all electoral areas, students will not waste time loitering around in town after school hours.
The headmaster of Yipala Junior high school, Mr Aburiya Dominic thanked the assemblyman for the support and assured him that they as teachers will put in their best to ensure that his dream of making Yipala and Nabori JHSs best schools in the West Gonja Municipal will be achieved.
