Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor, representing the Damongo Constituency in Parliament, has graciously gifted 200 bicycles to students residing in the Busunu electoral area within his jurisdiction.

This benevolent gesture, executed on November 3, 2023, reflects Jinapor’s continual dedication to supporting students in the Damongo constituency. The primary aim of this initiative is to alleviate the daily challenges faced by students who previously had to cover considerable distances from neighboring communities to access Junior High School education in the Busunu township.
The inspiration behind this donation emanated from Mr. Dari Osman Thomas, the assembly member for Busunu, who appealed to MP Abu Jinapor to assist students in need. During the bicycle presentation, Samuel Abu Jinapor expressed his unwavering commitment to the educational growth of the Damongo Constituency. He pledged to utilize his role as a Member of Parliament to ensure the provision of necessary resources and support for educational development in the constituency, emphasizing that the progress of any area is intricately linked to the quality of its education.

Addressing the fortunate recipients of the bicycles, Mr. Jinapor provided words of advice, encouraging them to responsibly care for the bicycles to ensure their longevity and to use the bikes for their intended purpose. Having personally experienced the challenges of covering long distances to access junior secondary education in the past, Abu Jinapor deeply understands the positive impact this intervention will have on students who previously had to trek such distances on foot.

Hon. Thomas Dari Osman, the Assemblyman for the Busunu electoral area, conveyed gratitude on behalf of the community, highlighting various ways in which MP Jinapor consistently supports the area, including a recent donation of dual desks to local schools. He expressed the community’s profound appreciation for the MP’s steadfast commitment to their educational needs.
In addition to this act of charity, Samuel Abu Jinapor inaugurated a four-unit accommodation block and provided a motorbike for teachers working in Langatere, a rural community near Busunu. The accommodation challenge for teachers in the constituency has been a significant issue, and this gesture is poised to make a substantial difference.
