The Member of Parliament representing the Damongo constituency, Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor, has acquired a new water tanker with the aim of ensuring a consistent water supply to the residents of Damongo and its surrounding communities. This initiative serves to enhance the effectiveness of the two water tankers previously hired by the Member of Parliament to regularly fill the existing poly tanks strategically located in Damongo and its adjoining areas.
It is worth noting that upon assuming office as the MP for the Damongo constituency, Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor recognized the challenges people faced in accessing water for their domestic needs during the dry season. In response, he took significant steps by providing a Rambo 10,000 poly tank as a temporary solution to address the water scarcity issues in the Damongo constituency. Lawyer Abu Jinapor is steadfastly committed to resolving the persistent water challenges that have plagued the people of Damongo for many decades.
To address this issue, the legislator has facilitated the construction of a small water project in collaboration with the Ghana Water Company, aimed at providing clean and potable water to the residents of Damongo, starting from the Broto community. According to reliable sources, the contractor working on the Damongo water project has already set up treatment plants at the project site, and full-scale work is set to commence in the coming days.
Lawyer Abu Jinapor has emphasized that the providers of the poly tank water service should refrain from accepting money from people for water distribution, as the water supply is entirely free to ensure equitable access for all.
