Hon. Kumatey Gorden, also known as DJ Flenzy, Assemblyman for Hangaline-Ngbaripe-Alhassankura, has reaffirmed his commitment to education by donating essential school supplies to 2024 BECE graduates from his electoral area who have gained admission to Senior High Schools.
At a presentation held at his residence on Monday, November 11, 2024, Hon. Kumatey provided 250 exercise books, 120 pens, 60 mosquito nets, and 60 plastic buckets—all personally funded—to support the academic journey of these first-year SHS students.
Addressing the students and their parents, he emphasized his dedication to education, stating that this donation fulfills his promise to make the initiative an annual tradition.
While acknowledging that the support is modest, he expressed his belief that every contribution toward education is an investment in the future. He encouraged the students to use the items responsibly and assured them of his continued support.
Hon. Kumatey also shared his vision for introducing more impactful educational projects in the coming years. His wife, Madam Rafia Seidu, echoed her support for his commitment to community development and pledged to assist in efforts aimed at improving the area.
Earlier this year, in January, Hon. Kumatey launched this initiative by providing similar support to 115 first-year SHS students. This latest donation underscores his ongoing efforts to enhance educational opportunities for students in his electoral area.
