The Member of Parliament for Damongo constituency, Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor has donated a brand new Toyota Hilux Pick-up, Sound System and football accessories to Ndewura Jakpa Senior/Technical School in Damongo.
The Member of Parliament presented the Toyota Hilux pick-up and the other items to school at a short ceremony held at the school premises on Monday 7th August, 2023.
According to the Damongo lawmaker, the donation of the vehicle was in fulfillment of a pledge made by H.E the President of the republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo- Addo when he visited the school some few months ago.
He explained that the donation was to facilitate the day to day administrative work of the school.
He also mentioned that he sees Education as one sector that plays a vital role in various aspects of human life and therefore committed to bringing quality education to his constituents and the savannah region as a whole.
The Damongo MP further encouraged the students of NDESCO to pursue their aspirations and embrace learning to help them become productive leaders in the future.
The Headmaster of the school, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed on behalf of the school expressed gratitude to Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor for the intervention and commended him for his continuous support to the school.
In his bid to support Education in the area, he has made similar donations to the Damongo Senior high school and the Savannah regional Education Directorate.
The MP also donated high powered Sound Systems, footballs and sets of jerseys to the school.
He also promised to have some time out of his busy schedules to have classroom lessons with the final year students before their exams.
The MP’s presentation was witnessed by Savannah Regional Education Director, Madam Judith Micah, The Regional Minister, Mr. Saeed Muhazu Jibriel, the NPP regional chairman, Prof. Kalamonia, the Municipal Education Director and other dignitaries.
