The MP for Damongo and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor has provided transportation fares for SHS students to travel home for holidays.
The gesture according to Alhaji Braimah Adam, the constituency chairman of the NPP who presented the cash amounts on behalf of the MP, the support shows that the MP is committed to supporting the education of students in the constituency and recognizes the importance of ensuring that they have safe and reliable transportation to travel home.
He also said, the support by the MP is also meant to help alleviate the financial burden on families who may struggle to afford transportation costs for their wards.
The gesture by the Damongo MP covered SHS students from Busunu, Nabori, Laribanga, Kananto, Kabampe, Mognori and Murugu from the two public senior high schools in the Damongo constituency with each student receiving financial support to cater for their transportation cost to their various homes.
Some of the students who spoke to our reporter said, the initiative by the Damongo MP is commendable and can have a positive impact on their education and well-being as students in the constituency and prayed that God continuous to bless the Damongo lawmaker for his good works in the constituency.
The constituency chairman was accompanied by the constituency secretary, 2nd vice Chairman, Treasure and the communications Director of the NPP in the Damongo Constituency.
