As part of his official mandate, the Municipal Chief Executive for West Gonja Hon. Musah Karim Kusubari invited Religious and Opinion leaders of Laribanga on the 28th of July, 2022 to his office to have an interaction pertaining their pressing issues in their community.
” The purpose of our meeting is to invite you to my office today to give us the three (3) most important pressing issues you are facing in the community so that we can tackle them as a matter of urgency,” said the MCE.
The people listed a quiet number of issues but finally settled on the 3 most important ones to meet the mandatory requirement proposed by the MCE.
The 3 major issues proposed by the leaders were Water/mechanized bore holes, Market grounds and Extension of electricity to the new areas in the community.
The chief executive emphasized that the market grounds was one of his priority areas which they have included in the items.
According to him, the market grounds or center will boost the economic value of the community since most of the people in the area are predominantly farmers.
He pleaded with the leaders to pray peace and unity prevail in Laribanga and Damongo constituency as a whole.
Some of the concern community members who were present at the engagement were Alhaji Adam Braimah NPP constituency chairman for Damongo, Hon Amidu Karim assembly Man for laribanga electoral area and representatives of all the family gates.
The meeting which lasted for about an hour ended successful.
