The Municipal Chief Executive for West Gonja Municipal Assembly Hon Karim Musah Kusubari has held a meeting with all 46 sub-chiefs in the Busunu traditional area on Wednesday 3rd February, 2020 at the conference hall of the Damongo Agricultural College.
In a welcome address, Hon Karim Musah Kusubari said he invited the chiefs in order for him to have the opportunity to interact with them and to also enquire from them the developmental deficits in their various communities.
Hon. Musah Kusubari recounted some of the developmental projects that he has so far embarked on in the Busunu traditional area but was quick to add that there are still some developmental challenges that the chiefs would want to enlighten him on since they (the chiefs) are the ones leaving with the people at the various communities.
According to Hon. Karim Musah Kusubari, the West Gonja Municipal Assembly through the support of the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Lawyer Abu Jinapor who is also the Member of Parliament for Damongo Constituency has constructed schools, health facilities, boreholes and some other infrastructure for communities in the Busunu traditional area and recently handed over a site to constructors to construct a senior high school for the people of Busunu traditional area.
The chiefs on behalf of the Busunuwura requested that the MCE should do well to build a chief palace for the people of Busunu such that every Busunuwura can occupy the palace.
The chiefs also pleaded with the MCE to solve some developmental issues in their various communities ranging from health care, education, water and roads.
Hon. Karim Musah Kusubari assured the Busunu traditional area Chiefs that he will do all that he can to bring development to the door step of the people of Busunu traditional area.
Sumpiniwura on behalf the chiefs thanked the MCE and said this is the first time a political head in the West Gonja Municipality has invited chiefs of Busunu traditional area to hold a meeting with in order to discuss the development of the Busunu traditional area.
