Hon. Musah Karimu Kusubari, the Municipal Chief Executive of West Gonja, has successfully procured a new Metro Mass Transit Bus exclusively for the convenience of residents in Damongo and its surrounding areas.
In a telephone announcement, the MCE clarified that the bus would no longer follow the previous route of transporting passengers from Damongo to Tamale and other towns. Instead, it will be stationed in Tamale to specifically cater to the transportation needs of the people of Damongo.
The MCE emphasized that this initiative is designed to address the local transportation requirements of Damongo’s residents. The bus will load at the GPRTU station in Damongo and at the Metro Mass Transit bus stop in Tamale, with a fare set at Ghc 30.00.
Encouraging residents to make the most of this opportunity, he highlighted the benefits of this new transportation option. The bus’s schedule includes a 5:30 am reporting time in Damongo and a 6:30 am departure daily, while the departure time from Tamale will be communicated at a later date.
